I will have to make an adjustment, due to a very generous gift. As I cook for a few people in the neighbourhood, and I help out a bit when and where I can in the community, I was given a box of Fruit and Vegetables, and I mean a BOX. It's to say thank you for what I do, and to help me out too.
2 Bags of Russet Potatoes
2 Bags of Carrots
1 Bag of Onions
1 Bag of Beets
4 Green Peppers
And varying amounts of Garlic, Tomatoes, Cabbage, Cauliflower, Pears, Apples, Grapes and Lemons.
I'm very grateful for the "Thank You" gift. I mentioned in my original post, I have met many people in my neighbourhood. Some need a little help, so I've helped where and when I can. Mostly with making food and baking, but also weeding, and helping out in their gardens when I'm working with mine.
It looks like I'll be on a cooking binge this week. Thankfully I put the bread starter away. Between what I have on the go, the ingredients I already had... and now this, I wonder how many things I can make. I hope many of my neighbours have some room in their freezers. They'll need it.

Karma works!
March 24
I've pulled some ingredients from my freezer, which I'll be using with the above mentioned produce. I still have plenty of Ham, so that was an easy choice, one more container of meat from the Traditional Chicken Dinner I made, and half a pound of ground beef.
I have a few of ideas as to what I'll be making this week. As I menu plan for our household, I like to add variety to what I give and share with my neighbours as well. I still think it's a good idea to rotate the meals and products you eat, to ensure you are getting a little of everything and not too much of one thing.
Anything I make, I'll list it here, with a link to the finished recipe.
Bacon & Butternut Squash Chowder
Farmer's Market Pies - Ham, Cheese and Vegetables
Shepard's Pie with Ground Beef and nuts
Chicken Paprikash Pie
